lunatimer is built to be private by default. This policy explains what limited information we handle when you use our website and app, why, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

2. Our approach in short

• You do not need an account to use lunatimer.
• Your timers, presets, tasks and settings are stored locally on your device and are not sent to us.
• We use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand how the Service is used.
• We do not sell your personal information.

3. Information stored on your device

To make the app work, lunatimer saves your preferences — such as timer presets, Pomodoro settings, timebox task lists, and chosen sounds — in your browser's local storage. This data stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

4. Information we collect automatically

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage — for example, which timers are popular and roughly how many people visit. This may involve cookies and the collection of information such as a truncated/anonymized IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and general region. We use this only in aggregate to improve the Service.

Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process standard technical information such as IP address and request details to deliver the site securely and reliably. This is common to essentially all websites.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies and local storage, primarily for analytics and to remember your settings. For full details and how to opt out, see our Cookie Policy.

6. How we use information

• To provide, maintain and secure the Service.
• To understand and improve how lunatimer is used, in aggregate.
• To respond to messages you send us.

7. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service and keeping it secure, and on your consent where required (for example, for non-essential analytics cookies). You may withdraw consent at any time.

8. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited technical data only with service providers that help us run the Service — currently our hosting provider (Cloudflare) and analytics provider (Google) — who process it on our behalf. We may disclose information if required by law.

9. Data retention

Locally stored settings remain on your device until you clear them. Aggregate analytics data is retained according to our analytics provider's standard retention settings. Emails you send us are kept as long as needed to handle your request.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Because most data lives on your own device, you can exercise many of these rights directly by clearing your browser data. For anything else, contact contact@beartimage.com and we'll help.

11. Children

lunatimer is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

12. International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used to protect your information in accordance with applicable law.

13. Future accounts

We plan to offer optional accounts and sync in the future. If and when we do, we will update this policy to explain any additional information involved before those features become available.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Service.
