Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 17, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how lunatimer uses cookies and similar technologies, such as browser local storage, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. “Local storage” is a related browser technology that lets a site save small amounts of data on your device. Both let a site remember information between visits.
2. How we use them
We keep our use of cookies to a minimum. We use them for two purposes:
- Essential / functional (local storage). lunatimer saves your timer presets, Pomodoro settings, timebox tasks and sound choices in your browser's local storage so the app remembers them. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage of the Service. It may set cookies to distinguish visitors and measure sessions.
3. Cookies we may set
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors | Up to 2 years |
| _ga_<ID> | Google Analytics | Maintains session state | Up to 2 years |
Cookie names and durations are set by the provider and may change. Your own timer settings are stored in local storage rather than cookies.
4. Your choices
- Browser controls. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear site data through their settings. Doing so may reset your saved timer preferences.
- Opt out of Google Analytics. You can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Do Not Track. We honor standard browser privacy settings where technically feasible.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our practices evolve. We'll revise the “Last updated” date above when we do.
